Created by Rémi Noëll & Sullivan Le Corvic, Random is a web series that tells the story of six friends trapped in an apartment for some unexplainable reason. Doors and windows are linked together and are shut from the outside world whilst their clones live their lives outside the apartment. Life keeps going on in the outside world.
Nobody but them suffers the confinement, and this will ultimately reveal each characters true nature. They have to find a way out of the apartment, die of starvation, or worse.
Why should people watch your series?
We think having a good storyline and being generous while telling it is what makes out web series unique. We focus on the characters to convey feelings and ideas and we like to play with our audience on behalf of what they know, don’t know, expect and don’t see coming.
It’s what seems to work with RANDOM, along with a good cast, score, sound and picture.
What is your favourite thing about making web series?
FREEDOM! We are free to tell the story we want, the way it suits the best!
What do you want audiences to take away from your series?
We would like our audience to feel involved with what our characters are experiencing. How surprisingly, realistic people react in front of the unknown, how they reveal themselves. We would like our audience to question themselves about how they would truly behave if they were in the same situation. We think identification with the characters is one of the most efficient ways to involve any audience in our universe. That is what we want our audience to take away from the series: living the story as a character.
Have you achieved the goals you set for this series?
Our goal was for the series to exist by itself and allow us to make the other seasons.
So, it’s a big yes!
