Submissions for the next Roma WebFest close on the 10 of September!
Roma Web Fest is the first web series festival in Italy. It was created in 2012 by screenwriter, actress and producer, Janet Denardis who had a passion for web series and viral content, and collaborated with various publications and companies to transform her passion into a something bigger. “I was aware of the need to create a showcase for young talent. A place to create a meeting between producers, broadcasters and directors,” says Janet.
Roma Web Fest aims to acknowledge the best in web native content and transmedia in Italy and around the world. The festival also provides creators with the opportunity to propose new ideas and present their projects in a pitching competition.
In addition, Roma Web Fest has worked with several institutions to form policies that stimulates the creation of contemporary audio-visual content.
In 2016, Roma Web Fest offered a total of 33 awards, prizes and acknowledgements.
