w/ Kirsty Stark (Epic Films)
WORKSHOP
WHEN: 1.45pm – 3.00pm
WHERE: La Trobe University City Campus, 360 Collins Street (Level 3)
Ticketed event
You’ve made the first season of your web series, and it’s doing well. Considering you made it for next to no money, you’re pretty proud of what you’ve achieved so far. But now you want to take things to the next level…
Whether you’re making a second season of your web series or starting from scratch with an entirely new concept, this workshop will cover the transition from self-funding your series to having your work commissioned.
How do you pitch your show to broadcasters – and what are they looking for? Who else funds series in Australia? What can you do to make your series stand out from all the others they’re looking at? And if you do get funded, what changes?
In Supercharge Your Series, Kirsty Stark (producer of two ABC iview series – Goober and Wastelander Panda: Exile) will use examples from her own projects to help you bridge that gap. The workshop will have a specific focus on the regulations and paperwork required to meet broadcaster and funding agency requirements, including budgets, insurance, award wages, paperwork and deliverables.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][divider line_type=”Full Width Line” line_thickness=”1″ divider_color=”default”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”2/3″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text]
