Image a world where woman are – and always have been – the dominant sex. In a Woman’s World is a sketch show about this very concept.

In this day and age, where technology, pop culture and commercialism rule the roost in modern western civilisation, what would it be like if women wore the pants? This show explores the dysfunctional yet seemingly utopic world of women. It is a comedic and universal representation of how a womans own world can be enjoyed by hardcore feminists and men themselves.

Created by the Skit Box, a Sydney and Los Angeles based comedic troupe, consisting of actresses Adele Vuko, Sarah Bishop and comedian Greta Lee Jackson

What do you want audiences to take away from your series?
The basis of this series is to showcase the darkly humorous side to gender inequality – so we’d love the audience to take away a fresh new perspective on gender issues, but also an insight into what life would be like if women were the ‘pants wearers’ or ‘skirt wearers’ so to speak!

What’s the magic formula for a successful web series?
Eye of newt. Bat droppings collected ONLY during a waxed moon. Good scripts and a crew who are genuinely passionate about the project.

How many people worked on this project?
We had a cast and crew of about 30 people throughout the shoot.

As a content creator, where to you go to find information about other film makers and web series?
Google. Industry press. And just looking at what people are sharing and talking about social media is a great start too.

How long did you want to make this series before you got started?
We’ve been toying with versions of this idea since we first started collaborating back in 2012.

When are you completely satisfied with your work?
Never. We’re all pretty restless and so naturally we always want to keep learning and evolving.

Are there any web series, other than your own that inspire you?
Our friends web-series here in Australia like Bondi Hipsters, Bedhead and The Justice Lease. We also love Children’s Hospital and Next Time On Lonny in the US.

From start to finish, how long did it take to complete this project?
The project was commissioned as part of Screen Australia and ABC’s Fresh Blood program, and the whole process of writing, shooting and post took several months.

How do you describe a womans’ world in your own view?
It’s heaven. You should try it sometime. (P.S. It can also be a nightmare – just depends on the time of the month).
