Not only did we receive an overwhelming number of submissions from local film makers but from creators across the globe, making this year one of our most diverse.
The 2017 Official Selections consist of 19 Australian series and series from 16 other countries.[/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line”][image_with_animation image_url=”8695″ alignment=”center” animation=”Fade In” box_shadow=”none” max_width=”100%”][divider line_type=”No Line”][vc_column_text]Festival director Steinar Ellingsen said the selection process had been the most competitive to date. Each year as the festival continues to grow, so too does the quality and budgets of web series submitted. This year we saw entries with six figure budgets, but we were truly blown away by the quality of series made on smaller budgets.
“Our panel has worked hard to strike a balance between funded and independently produced projects,” he said.
“Some incredibly difficult decisions have been made, but the result is an official selection of exceptional quality, featuring the most ambitious projects we’ve screened to date.”[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][image_with_animation image_url=”8691″ alignment=”center” animation=”Fade In” box_shadow=”none” max_width=”100%”][divider line_type=”No Line”][vc_column_text]Whilst there was a lot of partying involved, we needed to get down to business and of course, announce the selected series for 2017.
