We have a jam-packed program this year; our spotlight on Melbourne Event will screen 10 local series at Loop Bar on Thursday 30 June.

We have 55 Official Selection series from 15 countries that will be screened at Deakin Edge, Federation Square over the weekend. Q&As and discussion panels will feature creators and crews, and industry – including ABC iview, Screen Australia and Stan.

Opening night will feature a keynote address from writer/actor John Cabrera (H+: The Digital Series, Gilmore Girls) and the premiere of our very own web series, Melbourne WebFest Presents: 2046.

Our live pitching competition with ABC iview, which has a $5,000 cash prize, will be held during the festival. And, our professional development day features a series of masterclasses at La Trobe University on Collins Street.
