The calibre of innovative and creative web series has grown rapidly since Melbourne WebFest’s inception in 2013, and as the festival grows, so too does the work of our alumni.
Many of the participants of our inaugural festival have continued to win, create and achieve some amazing things. Aunty Donna

But did you know Aunty Donna’s first ever web series Rumpus Room, won Best Prize at MWF 2013? The boys went on to host the MWF award ceremony in 2014 and 2015.
The Melbourne comedy group have an award winning YouTube and have gone on to produce for ABC and Screen Australia as part of the Fresh Blood Comedy Initiative. Enzo Tedeschi
[/heading][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]Australian Filmmaker Enzo Tedeschi’s first web series, Event Zero, was an Official Selection series in 2013, the series went on to win multiply awards at festivals around the world.
Enzo has produced several award winning features films (Food Matters, The Tunnel), but since 2013 has focused on creating innovative web series.
His series Airlock, released in 2015, won the Innovation Award at Melbourne Webfest last year, and will hit the screens of the Ausralian SyFy Channel next month. The series went on to win 12 more awards including awards from San Francisco, LA and New York City Webfest’s.
Atalanti has continued her work as a producer and recently received the Inaugural Hazel Hawke Arts Award for her work as an artist and her support of female artists within the community.

Grant Scicluna

Cheese on Toast Productions

Named after their favorite university snack, five talented university graduates created Cheese On Toast Productions to make their mark on the global media industry.
It has been four years since the production team began producing web series, and three years since their very first episode was screened. Since then, the group have been nominated for 30 awards, successfully winning 15, including Best International Web Series at the LA Webfest.
